Painter
My father has been painting for many years, and before that he put his drawing skills to good use in his professional life as an exhibition and stage designer. Some of this must have rubbed off on me, but it took years to evolve into the concrete act of painting.
I studied graphic design, and can draw, but black lines on white were not enough. Photography was more appealing, because of the light and colour (which is what was satisfying about stage lighting too - see about me), but about 15 years ago I decided to start painting, so went to evening classes and have continued (sporadically) ever since.
